Our Government recognizes that the education and employment outcomes of First Nations and Métis peoples must improve so we all share in Saskatchewan’s growth and prosperity.  Our Government is investing in a strategy, and expanding programs and partnerships, to increase First Nations and Métis peoples participation and success in education and the labour force.

Our Government and the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations (FSIN) signed an historic agreement (below), on May 17, 2011, to establish a joint task force on aboriginal education and employment.

On April 15, 2013, the joint task force issued its final report on the Improving Education and Employment Outcomes for First Nations and Métis People. The report can be found here.

Visit the Joint Task Force website for more details and reporting on the activities of the Joint Task Force, and for updates on the scheduled community consultations.

On March 26, 2012, our Government and the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations (FSIN) announced three panelists who will lead the Joint Task Force on Improving Education and Employment Outcomes for First Nations and Métis people in Saskatchewan.  The joint task force is made up of a three person panel, including:
